Kaohu Productions has now received the all clear from Owner, Kaohu Detwiler’s law enforcement departments Ethics Department. With this clearance, we can operate as long as we do no business with the agency. Now, we are open to new clients. Currently, we have one client on-board, with another three joining soon.

About Us
Kaohu Productions was founded in 2009 under the name KD Photography. The owner Kaohu Detwiler started the company due to the amount of classmates requesting unique senior portraits. From there, the company expanded, and slowly implemented new elements over the years. In 2018, the company offered the first full-service production wedding package to include: venue, food, photo, video, and entertainment to clients. This really set the future tone for the company. In 2019, the owner Kaohu took a step back to pursue his law enforcement career, ultimately putting a pause on operations. In 2023, after moving to Montana, Kaohu was approached by a friend to assist with marketing a small business. At that point, Kaohu knew he needed to bring the company back to life. With much thought and reservations, Kaohu started the company back up in March of 2024. Kaohu Productions strives to provide low cost services to the community. Owner Kaohu Detwiler does not want this to be a company built on profit making, but giving folks an affordable option.
Kaohu Productions now concentrates on digital marketing strategies for clients, but still offers photo and video services. With the vast network system in both Montana and Hawaii, making marketing that much easier. This network built by the company will offer essentially free marketing avenues for each client.
Owner Kaohu Detwiler is also a 12-year US Air Force Combat Veteran and strives to give back to the local veteran communities. Also, Kaohu volunteers with the US Air Force Civil Air Patrol since 2004. Kaohu has a strong passion for aviation and educating the next generation of future aviators. Kaohu hold multiple aeronautical ratings in both gliders and single engine aircraft. Special pricing will be applied to Military Members, Veterans, First Responders, and Medical Workers. Verification of service will be required for this discount.
Currently, only marketing services are offered in Hawaii. If Kaohu does plan a trip out to Hawaii, a notification will be sent out for potential bookings. We look forward to working with you.
